Peace Day | Refugees spotlights the the largest refugee crisis in human history. Around the globe, millions of people around the globe have been forced from their homes. For this reason, our program honors the courage of refugees everywhere. In addition, we showcase what they do to help their new neighbors.
Peace Day | Refugees | 2018 is part of the Peace Day Global Broadcast. It features non-stop music, news and views about peace, prosperity and protecting the planet. This broadcast celebrates the United Nations International Day of Peace. Each year on September 21, the United Nations devotes a special day to building peace, within and among all nations and people. Besides running on PeaceChannel.com, this broadcast streams from the United Nations website and others. Because of this, millions of viewers in 132 countries enjoy Unity Foundation’s 10th Annual Peace Day Global Broadcast.
International star Golshifteh Farahani hosts the broadcast, along with guest appearances by Ed Begley, Jr., Rachelle Carson Begley and Pervian pop musician Pepe Alva.
