WHAT IS PEACE DAY?

Every year, on the 21st of September, people around the world celebrate Peace Day as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. The United Nations first launched Peace Day in 1981, and twenty years later fixed the date as September 21, declaring it as an annual day of non-violence and global ceasefire. This year’s global theme is “Partnership for Peace – Dignity for All”.
